Toys

Toys are teaching tools for all children, and especially for kids with autism. Learning toys are especially critical in early intervention programs where the right toys can make all the difference. Parents use toys to build relationships. ABA therapists use toys to teach cause and effect, pretend play and other skills. Speech therapists use toys to evoke communication, learn sequences and play skills. Occupational therapists use them to develop fine motor, gross motor or social skills. For kids, sensory toys are just plain fun! The best toys and activities for children with autism spectrum disorder are the ones that motivate our kids to engage.
